Saint Paul’s Choir School Sings at Fenway!

Updated: Oct 24, 2022

Kara Clark, Associate for Music & Performance Activities

On July 25th, the Choir of Saint Paul’s performed The Star Spangled Banner at the iconic Fenway Park for Catholic Night with the Red Sox. James Kennerley, Director of Music and Conductor, extended a special invitation to prospective students, incoming students, recent graduates, and changed voices to join the Choristers for this amazing event which brought the Archdiocese of Boston together.

Kennerley arranged the National Anthem for this particular group of over forty young singers. The response from the crowd after the soprano voices hit their high Bb was full of cheers and the excitement of the boys from the field proved how special the opportunity truly was!

Saint Paul’s Choir School extends many thanks to Bishop Mark O’Connell, Fr. Matthew Conley and the Red Sox for inviting us to represent the Archdiocese of Boston on this spectacular occasion. Also, a special thanks to Fr. Peter Grover from Saint Clement’s Eucharistic Shrine for allowing the choir to warm up in their space beforehand!
