4th Graders Earn Innovation & Creativity Award

🎉 "We won with "Our Song, SPCS!"

Exciting news from our 4th Grade ELA class! Our students were recognized with the Innovation and Creativity Award as part of the AI Faith & Innovation Competition, which honored five outstanding AI projects across multiple categories.

Students combined poetry, music, and technology by using AI tools to transform poems into original songs. Students recently explored the intersection of creativity and technology by transforming poems into AI-generated songs. After selecting or writing a poem, students used AI tools to create a musical version while making intentional choices about genre, mood, and style.

Through this project, students explored important questions about originality, authorship, ethical technology use, and AI’s impact on society. Rooted in Catholic values, the experience encouraged them to celebrate human creativity, practice honesty, and use emerging technologies responsibly.
