About the event
John Dunn, served the Saint Paul’s Choir School for a half-century. He was the Assistant Music Director and Organist under the Choir School’s founder, Theodore Marier. In addition, he taught math, and in 1974 he was elected the first lay Principal of the Choir School while retaining duties as Assistant Music Director. Upon Marier’s retirement in 1986, Fr. John Boles appointed Dunn as Principal and Director of Music and a few years later was appointed Headmaster. Under his leadership he oversaw an expanded enrollment and a brand new school facility still in use today. It is upon his shoulders the Choir School stands today.
